Initial Idea Synopsis

First we see the image of empty beer and vodka bottles scattered around and on the bed of the mother. We see the mother is still dressed from the night before and is asleep on the bed. We hear the sound of the son entering the room by the sound of the door opening and closing, but we are still only seeing the image of the mother. She looks up and has an expression of embarrasment on her face. The son, holding a tray with a bottle of medicine and a glass of water, sits down on the corner of the bed. He starts to comfort the mother, asking how she got into the state that she’s in and why. The mother then is about to find words to explain her state when we hear the door bell ring. We follow the eye line of the son as he looks at the door. The son asks if she knows who it would be and she just replies, ‘its him’. The son gets up, clearly outraged. He throws the tray to one side and starts storming up and down. He tells his mother that he can’t stand the sight of him and that he now realises that he is the reason she is in the state she is now in. The door bell rings once more. The son refuses to answer. Clearly full with rage, he tries to find some way to express his anger. Finally he walks up to the door. He clenches his fist and goes to punch the door. As his knuckles and the door connect, the scene cuts to the opening credits.
